Gnahoua looks back on the late win over Donny
Shrewsbury Town’s matchwinner Arthur Gnahoua was delighted to help Town to their eighth win of the season against Doncaster.
Gnahoua, who only came on in the 88th minute, scored a 94th minute winner as Town moved four points clear at the top of League One.
“It was a really great feeling to come on and score in the last minute”, Gnahoua told the Press.
“Even though the game was tight we still managed to get up and create some chances, so it’s a good feeling.
“The Gaffer just told me to come on, get on the ball and try and create chances like I do in training and hopefully get a goal.
“I was just trying to get a goal quick. As soon as I tapped it around the defender I knew that I had to shoot. You don’t always get the chance to score every day, but when you do, it’s good.”
Arthur was delighted to help the side to another three points in the League and now wants the squad to maintain this early season form.
“It’s a great feeling”, admitted Gnahoua.
“It was a tight game, but we still managed to play football and in the end we got the three points, so it was a great result again.
“We’ve worked very hard to get where we are and we’ve got to continue to play like this in order to stay in this position.”
