George Bunce returns to finish his studies in Leeds after GPS Internship
Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Hurst has paid tribute to GPS Analyst George Bunce after he returned to Leeds to continue his studies.
Bunce, who is a local boy and attended Meole Brace School, finished his year-long internship at the start of this month.
“He’s been superb”, said Paul.
“I think he joined the club just before I arrived and he’s become a very popular member of the staff. He worked tirelessly with Chris Skitt on stats and then trying to formulate what they would consider best practice for training.
“We will miss him. He is going to still do some work for us remotely, but obviously won’t be here on a daily basis because he’s finishing his studies off.
“We will certainly stay in contact with him and I’m sure he will come back and help out when he can, but his contribution can’t be underestimated that’s for sure.”
Shrewsbury Town would like to thank George for all his hard work over the last year and wish him well in his final year of study.
