Gaffer updates on Abs recovery from knee injury

Abu Ogogo who is ruled out for the remainder of the season has recently undergone surgery to repair his Medial Knee Ligament, which he damaged during a training session.

The midfielder’s surgery went well and now is receiving treatment from the clubs Physiotherapist Chris Skitt, who is helping him through his recovery.

Paul Hurst is pleased his surgery went well and is pleased the team captain is on the road to recovery, he said: “Abs has had his operation. He’s recovering, I think in general just lying on a bed and getting treatment mainly. I saw him wrapped up in a bit of Clingfilm earlier. I’m not sure what that does but I’m not the physio!

“The good thing is, he’s still in the dressing room and has got a big smile on his face. If I felt for one minute that he’d be a bad character to be around, he would be at home somewhere.

“He’s a great lad and we still want him around the place and he can still play his part, all be it no where near as much as we would like. As far as I’m aware, the operation went well and we wish him a full recovery.”
