Ben's thoughts ahead of the Sky Bet League One game with Bury
Town’s next game is at The Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday versus Bury.
Despite being relegated from The Sky Bet League One, Bury managed to earn a draw away against an inform Doncaster side.
Ben Godfrey feels it is key for himself and the players to respond after the disappointment of Tuesday night, he said: “You have up’s and down’s during the season.
“I’ve said a number of times, the professionalism we have here and we took it on the chin. We take the positives out of it, what we can, and we are raring to go tomorrow.
Bury have already had their relegation confirmed and can now play with a sense of freedom, Godfrey is expecting this to be a factor when coming up against The Shakers, he said: “Everyone is decent in this league, they will play with freedom. They might chuck a few younger boys in there who will be hungry to take their chance.
“It’s not going to be easy by any means, we’re hoping to get the three points and bounce back and add another positive result to this good season.”
Despite automatic promotion looking to be out of reach for Town, Godfrey want’s to go into the remaining games inform to give his side the best chance at promotion, he said: “With us being third, the chances are it will be in the Play-Offs.
“If it is that way, we would be playing someone who is inform so we need to be up there ourselves wining games and I back us to do that.
“Every team goes through a little dip, you could say we have done that recently. To go into the Play-Offs, if it is that way, inform would be a massive help so we are looking to do that.”
