Morris looks ahead to Peterborough clash

Town’s next game is against Peterborough United, as Town welcome Steve Evans’ team to The Montgomery Waters Meadow.

The point against Bury guaranteed Town a third place finish in the Sky Bet League One.

The last game ended in a draw for the Shrews and Bryn Morris feels it is important to get back to winning ways, he said: “It’s always good to be in form and be in winning ways. It’s good for your momentum going forward.

“We want to get back to those winning ways and good habits. Hopefully with a good performance tomorrow, we can get ourselves back to that.

“I think everyone goes through stages of losing momentum, we haven’t had too many of them in the season. Hopefully this is ours now and before what looks like is going to be Play-Off’s.”

Town tried a new 343 formation against Bury on Tuesday night, Morris feels his side could take to the new formation, given the game time, he said: “Last game we played a 343, new formations take time. It was only our first time playing that way.

“If the gaffer wants to do that again, we will do what we can again and look to improve on last game and go forward from there.

“Like the gaffer always says, it’s a squad game, when new people come in they might not suit the formation we have been used to. He is trying different things now. What ever he wants to play, we have just got to play as best as we can.”

“We all believe in each other and we believe in the team, I’m sure we will get back to playing good stuff and giving good performances like we have for most of the season.”

Play-Off chasing Peterborough are still in with a chance of finishing in the top six and Morris is expecting a tough game as always, he said: “They’re having a good season themselves, they are up there and fighting for it as well. I’m sure they will be good and it will be a good test.

“Going forward we want to play the best teams because in the Play-Off’s we’re going to be playing teams who are going into the games off the back of a good run. It should be a good game.”
