Town fans can pay on the day at Wembley

The countdown is on ahead of the Checkatrade Trophy Final this Sunday at Wembley, but there is still time to secure your seat and wear your colours proudly inside the National Stadium with ticket sales approaching 40,000.

Supporters of both Shrewsbury Town and Lincoln City will be able to purchase match tickets on the day of the game itself, with a ‘walk-up’ option available.

Junior supporters can get access for £10 across all areas of the stadium, while a new Young Adult ticket category for 17-21 year-olds has also been added this year, with a discounted rate of 25%, as prices remain frozen for the fifth straight year.

The ‘walk-up’ option is located at the East Ticket Office for supporters of Shrewsbury Town and West Ticket Office for those travelling from Lincolnshire.

Advanced tickets to the showpiece final, to take place on Sunday 8 April under the Wembley Arch, go off sale for both Clubs on Friday 6 April at 10:00AM, with the fixturepresenting both Clubs with the opportunity to win their first piece of major silverware as anticipation builds with just three days to go.

Both Lincoln and Shrewsbury come in to the final in confident mood, with Danny Cowley’s Imps on a six-match unbeaten run that has seen them climb into the Sky Bet League Two Play-Off places, whilst Paul Hurst’s Shrews continue their hunt for automatic promotion to the Sky Bet Championship after just two defeats in their previous 10 League One outings.

The Imps will be making their first appearance at the National Stadium in their 133-year history, whilst the Shrews have previous in the competition having finished as runners-up in the 1996 EFL Trophy Final against Rotherham United.

Prices for all other categories remain the most competitively priced for an EFL Final under the famous Wembley Arch.
