James Bolton gives his thoughts after Town's 0-0 draw at Doncaster

Shrewsbury Town earned a point and another clean sheet away at Doncaster Rovers last evening.

Town travelled to the Keepmoat Stadium for the fixture against Donny and put on another good performance.

James Bolton and the Town back four did well to keep a clean sheet but he feels his team could have come away with all three points.

“I thought we were a little bit unlucky,” Bolton said. “There has been plenty of chances, I had a chance and we have had a couple of penalty claims.

“I just feel it isn’t going our way a little bit. I think in the season you do tend to get your luck eventually, so I think we just need that little bit of luck and hopefully, we will get that first win.

“They were a good side, to come here and match them is a good sign, but it’s going to take time.

“If you look at the team, there aren’t many here who played last year. It’s about re-building and getting to know everybody.”

Despite the high number of new faces around the club, James feels it won’t take long before everybody clicks and the results begin to come.

“It’s different,” Bolton said. “You have different personalities, different things around the changing rooms and the training ground.

“That’s football, everyone goes different places and moves on. We have to just get on with it and do your best for the club.

“There are lads who have got plenty of quality. I think this season there has been games where things just haven’t dropped for us.

“You get luck throughout the season and hopefully, we can take advantage of that and get that win eventually.”

James Bolton and his side are on the road again this weekend, as Askey’s men take on Luton Town at Kenilworth Road.
