Joel Coleman discusses Town's fixture against Doncaster Rovers

Shrewsbury Town take on Doncaster Rovers tomorrow evening, away at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Askey’s men will travel to the Keepmoat Stadium with the hope of securing the clubs first three points of the season.

Town goalkeeper, Joel Coleman, was pleased with the team performance in the last game and hopes to take that into the next tie.

“I thought the defence and the two midfielder players shielding the back four had a solid game,” Coleman said.

“I didn’t really have much to do other than a few crosses here and there.  As a team defensively, we looked a lot better than in the previous games.

“That takes a lot of stress off me, then I can just stay in goal and protect that, instead of getting involved too much.

“I just want to keep clean sheets, that’s what I’m here to do.

“I would have enjoyed it more if we could have nicked one and took all three points. We have got to take the positives from the last game and take it into tomorrow’s game.”

Coleman is expecting tough game from the Rovers but feels his team have more than enough to get the win.

“We have seen in the clips that they love to play football,” Joel said. “ They like to play it out from the back, so hopefully we can exploit them at their strength and turn it into a weakness.

“Hopefully, we are on the front foot and try and win the ball back higher up the pitch.

“We have played some very good stuff, we just need to put that all together now. We need to be solid but then be enthusiastic wanting the ball to create something.

“Hopefully, once we get the first goal tomorrow they start coming now.”
