Defender Waterfall looks ahead to Kenilworth Road trip

Shrewsbury Town are on the road again this Saturday as Askey’s men take on Luton Town.

Town will travel to Kenilworth Road in the search of the clubs first three points of the season.

Luke Waterfall feels he has settled in at his new club well and is pleased with his performances so far.

“I’m really enjoying it,” Waterfall said. “I have settled in really good. The lads are really good and have accepted me into the changing room really quickly.

“We have had a couple of decent performances and a couple of clean sheets, which always helps. I am really enjoying it.

“We have looked resolute the last couple of games, especially on Tuesday.  It’s not a bad point away at Doncaster; I think they will be right up there.

“We were disappointed after the game that we didn’t go and get all three points. Going forward, I think we have had a good start.

“The ball just won’t hit the back of the net for us at the minute, I’m sure it won’t carry on forever and the goals will definitely come.”

The Shrews travel to Kenilworth Road on Saturday for Town’s second away game of the week. Luke is looking forward to the test and hopes to get the first three points of the season.

“I think once we get one goal, there will be an avalanche,” Luke said. “We are definitely looking forward to the game.

“We have just come of the back of a really tough game on Tuesday and it will be another tough game.

“There isn’t any easy games, Luton is a tough place to go. I played there last year. They will be a good side, but we will go there full of confidence, knowing that we can go and win the game.

“The play good football, possession football and the full-backs bomb on.  They’re attacking, especially at home and hopefully we will be able to counter that.”
