Carol Concert

17 December 2018

Annual Christmas Carols take place on Monday 17th December

Plans are well underway for this year’s Shrewsbury Town Carol Concert, which sees supporters, players, staff and friends of the club get together for their annual Christmas celebration.

The event takes place on Monday 17th December at the Montgomery Waters Meadow, starting at 7pm with mince pies and mulled wine before continuing with carols, live music and the ‘spirit of Christmas.’

Revd Phil Cansdale, club chaplain, is one of the organisers of the event. “After a few years at Shrewsbury Abbey this year sees us with a “home tie” back at the club. And as we round off the year we’re looking forward to singing our hearts out in the Sovereign Lounge for the club’s carol event this year.“

“These evenings can be a great occasion for players from across the club’s teams to get together and get involved. Alongside them we’re also looking forward to “Of One Accord” choir who will be entertaining us as the evening goes on, and opportunities to celebrate some of the really amazing work that Shrewsbury Town in the Community do all year round. Whilst the event is free, we’ll be taking a collection towards their work across local communities.”

Everyone is welcome at this year’s event. No tickets needed, just come along from 6:30pm for a 7pm start.
