Greg Docherty pre Coventry City

Greg Docherty looks ahead to Town's clash with Coventry City.

Shrewsbury Town welcome Coventry City to the Montgomery Waters Meadow for another league fixture tomorrow afternoon.

Town will be looking to go a step further than Town’s draw last time out and claim all three points.

Greg Docherty was disappointed to have not taken all three points from the Posh and hopes to see his team improve against the Sky Blues.

“Yeah it was disappointing,” said Greg. “You could say the point was deserved overall.

“We knew Peterborough are strong away from home, but our home form is strong as well.

“To get in a winning position and keep it for so long, we should have killed the game off.

“Unfortunately late goals happen in football sometimes and you have to just take the positives and just move on to the next week.

“The game did feel like a defeat for a while, with how we conceded so late on. As the week passes and you look at the game and you pick up the positives from the game.

“There is always room for improvement. I think that’s the main thing and we move onto Saturday now full of confidence.”

Greg is looking forward to the tie with the Sky Blues and hopes to see that improvement.

“They will be desperate to get the win,” said Town’s midfielder. “They have a few ex-Shrewsbury players as well.

“At home we have to take the initiative to them and capitalise on their poor form - so to speak.

“If we get an early goal maybe we can kill the game off, which we didn’t do last time.

“We have to be a bit more ruthless and go and make sure we get the three points.

“We will have good support. We have to just worry about us and go into the game full of confidence that we will get the points.”
