Josh Laurent looks ahead to Town's game against Peterborough

Shrewsbury Town welcome Peterborough United to the Montgomery Waters Meadow this Saturday.

Town will be looking for a return to winning ways and a first league win for Sam Ricketts in the game against the Posh.

Town's in-form Midfielder Josh Laurent was pleased with Town's fighting effort in their last league game against Burton.

"We said at half-time, were going to score. We're 100% going to score goals, we know that now, we're going to create chances and we will keep fighting right until the end.

"You saw it against Wycombe as well, we pulled one back with Fey again.

"We will keep on going until the end and Fey will keep on going until the end as well.

Laurent told Shrewsweb that there's a lot of competition for starting places at the moment and that the squad see that as a positive thing.

"100%, when I was out of the team, you want to get back in, you see the boys doing well, we're winning, you want to get back into it. Every chance you get you want to prove that you can be a part of this.

"It's not about I'm better than him or I'm kicking him out of the team. It's about everyone wants to play, everyone wants to do well with each other and be the best they can be."

Laurent is pleased with how the squad are doing overall at the moment.

"We're on a good run, scoring lots of goals, we've always said if we can keep a clean sheet, we'll win the game. Aaron recently as well has been on fire in training. All of our attackers are looking really good."

Josh expects a tough game from Peterborough who are two points off the automatic promotion spot in Sky Bet League One.

"It's going to be a hard game, obviously they are doing well, they are confident, but as always I still back us all of the time. I think we can beat anyone - I think we've proved that.

"If we can get a foothold and a good start, we can give any team a run for their money.

"I think confidence is a big key for us, we're confident with ourselves and each other, whoever is playing, we're going to do a good job.

"We are a good team, we have good individuals and we can go and get good results."
