Lenell John-Lewis pre Walsall

5 December 2018

Lenell John-Lewis looks ahead to Town's tie with Walsall.

Shrewsbury Town take on Walsall tomorrow evening in the next round of the Checkatrade Trophy.

Town will be looking to carry on with their recent form with a win over the Saddlers.

Lenell John-Lewis was pleased with the manner of Town’s win and is hoping to carry the momentum into the next round.

“It was a tough game last time out for many reasons,” said Lenny. “Coming out with the win is the most important thing – especially in the FA Cup.

“We got into the hat for the next round and we are looking forward to it.

“Steve Arnold made a great save. It was pleasing that he saved it because we didn’t think it was a penalty and it was a tough game.

“From the day he came in we have all seen him work extremely hard – he is the hardest working here.”

Town take on Walsall tomorrow evening in the Checkatrade Trophy and Town’s frontman is expecting a tough test from the Saddlers.

“It is another tough game,” said Lenny. “There is never an easy game. It’s in the cup, so we want to progress and keep the run going.

“We know we are in good form, so for us it’s about going out and winning.

“With the new gaffer coming in there might be some changes. The players will want to prove a point on the pitch.

“For us, it’s about working hard again and getting a win. We have managed to get out of the group stages.

“We will take one game as it comes and hopefully we can get into the next round.

“We have to go into the game and give it your all and show what you can do.”
