Sam Ricketts looks ahead to Town's clash with Accrington Stanley.
Town take on Accrington Stanley on Boxing Day in Town’s next Sky Bet League One fixture.
Town will be looking to make it two wins in a row after a deserved 1-0 win against Coventry City.
Sam Ricketts was pleased with the result and even more so with his teams performance.
“Yeah it was my first win in the league and it was a good win,” Town’s boss said. “More importantly, it was the performance that pleased me more than anything.
“I have only been here for a short space of time, so I have just tried to carry on what was happening before – just with a bit more detail.
“It was a really good performance in the first-half. I think we dominated the game but just didn’t score.
“It was really important to back that up in the second-half to get the win.
“We have to keep clean-sheets. If you can keep scores at zeros and ones – you have always got a chance and that is where we need to be.”
Town travel to the Wham Stadium on Boxing Day and Sam Ricketts is expecting a tough game from the home side.
“Accrington is another good game,” said Sam. “I really like Accrington. They try to play good football, they try to hurt you with their movement and it will be a good game for us.
“It’s one we are looking forward to. We go there full of confidence, especially after the performance at the weekend.
“It doesn’t make any difference where we are playing. The most important thing is the next game. All of our focus is on Accrington.
“Christmas Day is all sorted now after the win, so they can enjoy that. Now we want to make sure everyone enjoys Boxing Day."
