Coming to West Ham?

6 January 2018

Get here early for West Ham game

Shrewsbury Town would like to advise fans that they get to the Montgomery Waters Meadow early for our FA Cup clash against West Ham on Sunday.

The game, which is live on BBC One, kicks-off at 2pm and almost 10,000 fans are expected to attend after the game sold-out on Thursday.

There will be plenty going on in and around the stadium before kick-off and Chief Executive Brian Caldwell has recommended that fans get to the ground in plenty of time to soak up the atmosphere.

“It’s going to be a full house here on Sunday, so we encourage people to come as early as they can”, said Brian.

“We expect that the surrounding roads are going to be busy, so just give yourself a little bit more time because we wouldn’t want people to miss the start of the game through traffic or anything.

“The Fanzone will be open, so we hope that that will be busy prior to the game and that people can take advantage of that by getting something to eat and drink and listen to some music.

“Hopefully, people coming here, maybe for the first time on Sunday, will not only see a good football match but also the facilities here and they will decide to come back.”

For more information on getting to the stadium please view our matchday travel plan here.  Note the travel times are an hour earlier due to the 2pm kick-off.

There are a number of parking options around the stadium for the game, please view our matchday parking plan here.
