Oldham or Leicester will visit the Montgomery Waters Meadow
Shrewsbury Town have been handed a home draw in the Quarter-Final of the CheckaTrade Trophy after they beat Blackpool on penalties on Wednesday evening.
The draw took place on Sky Football and Town will host the winners of the Oldham against Leicester U21s game. The original tie fell foul of the weather and will be replayed on Wednesday 17th January.
The game is set to take place on the week commencing 22nd January, but details will be announced in due course.
Town manager Paul Hurst is happy to be drawn at home and expects a tough game from either side.
“It’s always good to be drawn at home so we have to be happy with the draw.”, said Paul.
“The game will be a tough test whichever side gets through and both teams will offer a different type of challenge.
“It is another game to play this month and the fixtures are starting to build up but hopefully the supporters can see we are getting closer to the final and will come out for the game.”
