Town Drawn At Home In CheckaTrade Trophy

The winners of Yeovil and Fleetwood will be the visitors

The draw for the semi-final of the CheckaTrade Trophy has taken place and Town have been handed a home tie.

The winners of the Yeovil Town against Fleetwood Town quarter-final will be the visitors on Tuesday 27th February.

Yeovil welcome Fleetwood to Huish Park on Tuesday 6th of February to play their quarter-final game with the reward a trip to the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Town booked themselves a place in the semi-final thanks to a late Alex Rodman goal that saw then run out 2-1 winners over Oldham Athletic.

Town manager Paul Hurst is expecting a tough test whichever side get through.

“It’s good to have been drawn at home in the semi-final of the CheckaTrade Trophy”, said Paul.

“At this stage of the competition all sides will prove to be tough opposition so any advantage is welcome.

“Both Yeovil and Fleetwood have shown over the competition that they want go as far as they can.

“It is a competition we have said all along that we want to win, that is still the aim and we are getting closer to a possible Wembley final.

“With the game scheduled for the end of February we can put it to the back of out minds and concentrate on some very important league games, starting with Portsmouth on Saturday.”

The game will be played at the Montgomery Waters Meadow in Tuesday 27th February with a 7:45pm kick-off.  The game will be shown live on Sky Sports.
