Shrewsbury Town Sleepout in partnership with Shropshire Homes

Working with Shropshire Homes to raise funds and awareness for Shrewsbury Ark

Last year it was published that there are almost 500 homeless people across Shropshire, a figure that has increased by 22% in a year, to help tackle this issue Shrewsbury Town in the Community have teamed up with Shropshire Homes to help raise awareness and funds.  

Thursday, 19th July will see Montgomery Waters Stadium, the home of Shrewsbury Town Football Club opens its doors to host its first ever sleepout. Participants will swap their beds for sleeping bags and camp out under the stars for 12 hours.

Howard Thorne, director of Shropshire Homes said of the event; “At Shropshire Homes we strive to build high quality new homes that our customers can enjoy and be proud of. We are of course aware that some people struggle to find a suitable and safe place to live and are therefore very pleased to support Shrewsbury Town in the Community in their objective of raising funds to help the homeless”
