Free day out for up to 25 people
Shrewsbury Town are pleased to confirm that the Club’s Youth Group offer offer will continue in place for the forthcoming season.
20 free tickets with up to five adult tickets are available for Youth Groups wishing to visit the Montgomery Waters Meadow.
Brian Caldwell is pleased to give his thoughts on the offers and feels they provide positives for the fans and the Club.
“This has actually been really successful,” Brian said. We’re delighted with the way that has progressed.
“We have certainly got the word out and we have had so many youth groups here. I think most games we have averaged around 100 tickets going out to youth groups in the local area.
“Hopefully this will encourage the next generation of Shrewsbury fans. If I can get one or two of those 20 to come along and be future Season Ticket holders or supporters and there certainly has been a few people from that.
“There were a couple of coaches who took up the offer for their team who we managed to get the children in to be Season Ticket holders in the future.
“With the Under-12 offer as well, if we can get the children along as well as a group and it doesn’t cost anything for the coaches or their adult leaders, then hopefully they will come back.”
Brian also wished to make clear that the offer is open to any youth group within the local area, not just football teams.
“We’re open to any youth group,” Brian said. “When you look out into the stands and see a football team all in their tracksuits, I think it’s great and it gives me pleasure to see that the youth group offer is working.
“But it’s not just to football teams, it’s to any youth groups in the area if you want to come along, whether it’s a Christmas party to come along to the game or what ever it may be.
“It’s free tickets, up to 20 children and five adults.”
