Arthur Gnahoua and Lenell John-Lewis to remain at the Montgomery Waters Meadow

Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce that Arthur Gnahoua and Lenell John-Lewis are set to remain with the club.

Gnahoua has taken up his automatic one-year extension, whilst John-Lewis is set to sign a new one-year deal with the club.

Arthur featured 22 times last season, scoring three goals, whilst Lenell made 44 appearances, mostly from the bench, also scoring three times.

Town boss John Askey was pleased to get both men on board, including Gnahoua who he worked with at Macclesfield.

"Lenell was offered a new year by the previous manager which he’s taken up", said John.

“He’s got a great attitude. As I said with previous players he’s got to show what he can do and if he does well then he’ll be in the team."

“Arthur did quite well for me. He didn’t play as much as he’d have liked but I was keen to keep him. He decided to go to Spain and came back to do well at Kidderminster. We’ve probably all seen signs of his ability.”

Meanwhile, John also confirmed that he is hopeful that Alex Rodman will stay.

"We've made Alex a good offer", Askey continued.

"I'm eager to get Alex signed. We'll know within the next day or two. He's been a good pro and is important to the dressing room so hopefully we can get Alex tied down.

"I'm pretty confident. You never know, but I think he's enjoyed it here and he feels comfortable. Hopefully it'll be one we can get over the line."
