A look at our travel distances for the 2018/19 Sky Bet League One season
With the fixtures set to be released on Thursday (21st June) we have been taking a look at where Town fans will have to travel next season in Sky Bet League One.
A few of our shorter trips from last season, such as Bury and Oldham have gone, but they have been adequately replaced by two games which are less than 65 miles away in Burton Albion and Coventry City.
Our closest game remains our journey to the Banks’s Stadium, home of Walsall, whilst our longest trip also remains the same, a 240 mile+ journey to Home Park, home of Plymouth Argyle.
There will also be a wide variety of sizes and styles of grounds that we travel to this season. The biggest by far will be the Stadium of Light, home of Sunderland, which holds over 48,000 fans, whilst one of the smallest will be the Wham Stadium, home of Accrington Stanley, with a capacity of 5057.
When you take into consideration round-trips Town fans who attend every away Sky Bet League One away game next season will travel 6,216 miles, which is an average of 282 miles per game.
