Ticket Price Freeze

29 June 2018

Ticket prices frozen, young adult rises to U23 and U12s are FREE

Ticket prices have been frozen ahead of the 2018/2019 seasons at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

Along with the price freeze the existing Under 9 FREE category rises to Under 12 and the young adult age bracket has been extended from 21 to 23.

Town CEO Brian Caldwell was pleased to have the price freeze in place and feels the prices offer good value to fans. He said: “I did look long and hard to whether if we would increase it because we are cheap in comparison to everybody else.

“It’s frustrating for me to see our fans travelling away from home and spending a lot more money at games and getting there when their fans come here and spend less.

“We try to be attractive. I think based on last year we have upped our average crowd with a lot of people coming to The Montgomery Waters Meadow and I don’t think it’s the right time for us to increase our prices.

“The 19-21 is now 19-23 and now under 8’s is now under 12’s free. We are trying really hard to push that and get more people along. By freezing the prices for adults at £20 we hope it’s a positive move and we can try and build on what we did last year.”

Town have also had a really positive reaction to the FanCard, which was launched last season.  This gives supporters benefits and discounted tickets for life once the card is bought.

“We have had a great uptake on the Fan Card” Brian said.

“I think about around 900 people have Fan Cards on top of the 3300 season tickets that we have got.

“It’s great to see that there is a benefit to that. Once they have got the Fan Card they get a discount on every game, which has proved very successful.

“There were a few teething problems at the beginning that we expected but hopefully its working well for everybody and it gives them an even further discount on the £20 that our prices are.”
