High Sheriff visits Shrewsbury Town in the Community programmes
Shrewsbury Town in the Community were recently able to display a number of their programmes to the current High Sheriff of Shropshire, Charles Lillis.
Serving as the current High Sheriff of Shropshire, Mr Lillis was invited by Head of Community Jamie Edwards to view the work that the charity carry out, including inclusion programme Extra Time and the BTEC in Football and Education programme.
The time spent at the session included a social interaction period amongst the group, with many enjoying a warm drink and snack, as well as an outdoor-based activity – this weeks activity being the sport of Cricket. The High Sheriff bowled the first over of this session, before being given an opportunity to meet Shrewsbury Town’s First Team manager Paul Hurst, and speak of the successful season that the League One side are having so far.
