During the visit to the Extra Time programme, High Sheriff of Shropshire Charles Lillis was able to speak with a wide range of the participants from the sessions, who were able to give an understanding of the impact that such a programme can have on the participants. Trainee’s from Shrewsbury Town in the Communities new Traineeship programme were also on hand at the Extra Time Programme session to talk about the impact their new programme has had.

The time spent at the session included a social interaction period amongst the group, with many enjoying a warm drink and snack, as well as an outdoor-based activity – this weeks activity being the sport of Cricket. The High Sheriff bowled the first over of this session, before being given an opportunity to meet Shrewsbury Town’s First Team manager Paul Hurst, and speak of the successful season that the League One side are having so far.
