A look at how our players are getting on away from the club
Ryan Sears was on the scoresheet as Newtown twice came from behind against Llandudno at Latham Park to secure their JD Welsh Premier League status for another season. Llandudno took the lead but Sears levelled when he headed home Luke Boundford’s long throw. Llandudno then retook the lead before half-time, but second-half goals from former Town man Ethan Jones and Nick Rushton sealed victory and meant that they will remain in the WPL next season.
Chris Gallagher played the full-ninety as Stourbridge hammered Farsley Celtic 4-1. Celtic took an early lead from the penalty spot, but a Luke Benbow brace and goals from Paul McCone and Josh Cooke gave the Glassboys a comfortable win. That result lifts Stourbridge up to 15th in the Evo-Stick Premier Division.
Elsewhere, John McAtee hasn’t been involved in AFC Telford United’s last couple of games. Telford beat Alfreton on Tuesday night and then drew 0-0 with Darlington on Saturday as they battle to avoid relegation. There was also no game time for AJ Leitch-Smith as the Scottish Premier League didn’t have games this weekend due to the international break.
