Retained List Update

29 May 2018

Retained list on hold due to management talks

The club’s retained list is currently on stand-by whilst discussions over Paul Hurst’s future take place.

Decisions had been due to be released on Tuesday, but Hurst’s potential move to Ipswich Town means that the club are now taking stock of the situation.

CEO Brian Caldwell admits that talks over the players’ futures had taken place, but he wants to make sure everyone understands the situation before releasing the details.

“We had a discussion last week about where he (Paul) wanted to take it from the point of view of the players that were out of contract and his feelings towards it”, said Brian.

“He was talking to the players after the game on Sunday and we need to take stock of that and make sure that information has been disseminated by the players before we pass anything out publically, because I think it’s only right that the players know first.

“Once we’ve found that out we will certainly release where we are at, but obviously with the manager situation just now I wouldn’t think that anyone who has been made an offer won't be coming back until they know who the manager is.”

The club can confirm that Dean Henderson, Ben Godfrey, Carlton Morris, Max Lowe and Nathan Thomas have returned to their parent clubs.
