Danny Coyne pre Plymouth Argyle

26 November 2018

Danny Coyne looks ahead to Town's clash with Plymouth Argyle.

Shrewsbury Town take on Plymouth Argyle tomorrow evening in Sky Bet League One.

Town will welcome the south-coast side to the Montgomery Waters Meadow for the quick return to football.

Danny Coyne was disappointed with the result at the weekend but feels his side can take positives away from the tie.

“We scored two goals away from home and both the centre forwards scored,” said Danny.

“We can now look at how we can combat somebody who just tries to stop us and match us up basically. We are working on different things like that.

“We are just looking forward to Tuesday. The lads have given me everything every game so far.

“Credit to them, they are working really hard – not just on the pitch, but off the pitch as well trying to learn different things.

“They are taking on board things that we are telling them and how they can implement that during games.”

Town next take on Plymouth Argyle and will be looking for a return to winning ways.

“We haven’t had too much time to work on the training ground with how we want them to play,” said Danny.

“It’s a squad game and anybody who isn’t in the squad has got to fight to get in there.

“Most of these games are similar, you know what you’re going to get. They play a 4141 quite a lot.

“It’s going to be difficult again, they will have the two banks of four with the sitting midfielder.

“They will be hard to break down and they will press us – especially away from home.

“They aren’t in the position they want to be, so we have got to be wary of that.

“Hopefully another former player won't come back to do what happened on Saturday.”
