Brian Caldwell on England Under-17's

14 October 2018

Brian Caldwell looks ahead to the England Under-17 visit.

Shrewsbury Town welcome the England Under-17 side to the Montgomery Waters Meadow tomorrow.

The next generation of England players will be taking on Russia’s Under-17 side.

Town CEO Brian Caldwell is pleased to have England back at the stadium and hopes to see more games hosted at the Meadow.

“The FA have spoken to us about a few games and this one is today,” Brian said. “It’s good to see the next generation of young top English players coming here.

“I’m sure it will be a good occasion. We want as many people as possible to come along and support them.

“The tickets are cheaply priced, so the more people we can get along the more chance the FA will come back to us and say yes we want to do more games at Shrewsbury.

“They’re keen with the setup we have and the facilities we have are geared to international games at different levels.

“If we can get a good crowd here on Sunday – hopefully the FA will want to come back.”

Kick-off is at 1pm and tickets can be purchased ahead of the game.
