First round sees Town entertain National League side Salford City
The draw has taken place for the first round proper of the Emirate FA Cup this evening on BBC2.
Town’s ball number 40 was drawn out first and this was quickly followed by number 59 of Salford City.
It should to prove to be a good game against a side who are currently sitting top of the National League.
It is a game that Town manager John Askey is looking forward to.
“You always want to get a home draw if you can so that is a big plus”, said John.
“Salford will prove to be tough opposition but with home advantage we will go into the game aiming to get the right result.
The FA Cup does have a magic to it and it is a competition we want to do well in this season.
“We have some important league games coming up before then and our focus will be on those.”
The games are scheduled to be played the weekend of 10th November and we will bring full details once the game is confirmed.
