Fejiri Okenabirhie pre Oxford

25 October 2018

Fejiri Okenabirhie looks ahead to Oxford United.

Shrewsbury Town next travel to the Kassam Stadium to face-off with Oxford United this weekend.

Town will be looking to make it back-to-back wins, after an impressive performance against Barnsley.

Fejiri Okenabirhie was pleased with his team’s effort last time out and hopes to replicate the same form away from home.

“It was great to get the three points,” Okenabirhie said. “I thought we deserved it from our performance.

“Hopefully we can build on this now going forward.

“We got good support from the fans and they have supported us great from the start of the season.

“It’s always nice to have that support and hopefully we can pay them back.”

Town next take on Oxford United, who drew last time out away to Charlton Athletic.

Okenabirhie is looking forward to the game and feels his side have enough to get the win.

“We are definitely looking forward to it,” the forward said. “Off the back of Tuesday we should all be confident going into that game.

“I’m looking forward to going down there and trying for the three points. Hopefully we can put on a good performance.

“It will be another hard game. They are all tough games in this league and it will be no different on Saturday.

“We just need to go and do what we did on Tuesday and match them again.

“It will be a different game to Barnsley, but I think we need to just focus on ourselves and take care of our own performance.

“With where we are in the table – we need points as soon as possible. Oxford are a team that are near us, so we want to take points from them.”
