John Filan Pre Walsall

John Filan looks ahead to Town's trip to Walsa

Shrewsbury Town next take on Walsall away at the Banks’ stadium in Town’s next Sky Bet League One fixture.

Town drew with Gillingham last time out and will be hoping to turn that draw into a win against the Saddlers.

John Filan was disappointed his team didn’t come away with the win last time out and hopes to seen an improvement against Town’s rivals.

“To lose the lead was a disappointment for everyone,” John Filan said. “That’s something we have got to learn from and then kick on to the next game.

“We have got a squad of players here, it’s not just the 11 that go out on the park. They’ve all got a chance of playing.

“I think we are worth more points than we have got. We have played some good football and I think In general, in games we have played well.

“It’s just little periods of games due to little individual errors or lack of concentration at times that has cost us dearly.

“If we can cut those things out and dominate games, playing the football that we are capable of, I’m sure the results will start to flow.”

Town next face Walsall away from home and Filan is expecting a tough test from the Saddlers.

“I think the fans will be looking forward to it,” Filan said. “It will be hustle and bustle like a typical League One game.

“We need to match the tempo of the home team and be brave enough to play football when we can. If we do those things I think we will be all right.

“You want to go out and win every game - this is just the next fixture and our lads are raring to go, they trained well this morning and we will get out there.”

Town have no new injury worries ahead of the next fixture.
