Josh Emmanuel looks ahead to Town's fixture with Barnsley

Shrewsbury Town welcome Barnsley to the Montgomery Waters Meadow tomorrow evening.

Town will be looking to bounce back from defeat immediately with a positive result over the Tykes.

Josh Emmanuel is hoping to see a reaction and feels his team can secure all three points against tomorrow’s visitors.

“We always go out to win and that’s what we are going to try and do tomorrow,” Emmanuel said.

“It should be a good game. Sunderland was a frustrating one – we were on top of them in the first-half, but tomorrow hopefully we can maintain that throughout the game.

“We are all in this together. As long as we keep performing the wins will come, definitely.”

Emmanuel feels he has settled into life well at the club but feels there is more to come from him on the pitch.

“There is nothing better than playing week in week out,” Josh said. “I tell the gaffer all the time I appreciate his faith and belief in me.

“I need to repay that faith by preforming on the pitch, so it works both ways.

“Every game is different, so it’s being able to focus on the opposition and being able to adapt your game to that – that’s the main thing for me.

“The game on Saturday I really enjoyed it, but obviously the result was disappointing.

“I have been good some games and not so good in others, so me and the whole team need to keep a consistency throughout.

“Every game you gain more experience and more knowledge and understanding on how to defend.

“I have enjoyed playing with the whole team and we just need to pick up now and get the results.

“We need to stay focussed and positive, the gaffer has been positive throughout.”
