Shaun Whalley looks ahead to Town's fixture with Accrington Stanley

Shrewsbury Town take on Accrington Stanley in Town’s next Sky Bet League One fixture tomorrow afternoon.

Town battled it out with Walsall last time out to earn a draw at the Banks’s Stadium.

Town winger Shaun Whalley feels the result was a fair reflection on the game.

“Yeah definitely a fair result,” Shaun said. “There was a few chances either end, but I think looking back it was fairly even and a fair result.

“I wouldn’t say we had great chances and I wouldn’t say they had that many great chances, but like I said it was fairly even in the overall game.

“Obviously we want to get more wins – I think that’s blatantly obvious that we need more wins.

“No team has been a lot better than us all season, but we need to turn these draws into wins

“I don’t think we controlled the game as well as we have done in previous games.”

Whalley is looking forward to the fixture against one of his former clubs and hopes Town can get the three points.

“I haven’t seen them for a while, but I’ve heard they like to pass the ball and pass really well.

“They did unbelievable last year.  The manager and the assistant have done unbelievable work with Accrington.

“You look at how they started this season – they have started really well again, so it’s going to be a tough match.

“I always follow their results to be fair – they have been doing really well.

“You need to win your home games really and Accrington are someone we need to win three points against.

“No matter who it is - we need to start getting the tree points.

“The fans have always been behind the team and we need their support to get the three points tomorrow”
