Company Secretary steps down after 22 years service with the club

Company Secretary David Parry retired last night with a dinner to celebrate after 22 years’ service to STFC.

Chairman Roland Wycherley presented David with a life membership of the club as well as commemorative glassware.

David who turns 70 shortly is a life time Town fan who came with his Dad to his first match at Gay Meadow in 1955 and was heavily involved with the move to the new stadium.

Chairman Roland Wycherley said

“David and I go back a long way, we played football together over 50 years ago and he actually was a very good footballer back in the day perhaps over time he proved to be a better accountant than winger! He joined me originally at Shires Vending as Company Secretary and Finance Director in 1992, we have worked together for 26 years and upon joining STFC he has worked tirelessly and dedicated himself to the club.

The board takes great pleasure in confirming David as a life member of the Football Club in recognition of his dedication and service to STFC”
