Lee Angol Pre Scunthorpe

21 September 2018

Angol speaks to the press before his side travel to Glanford Park on Saturday

Shrewsbury Town next take on Scunthorpe United in Town’s next Sky Bet League One fixture.

Askey’s men took all three points last time out and will be hoping to replicate the same result at Glanford Park.

Lee Angol was pleased to have helped his team secure all three points and hopes to build on the good form.

“It feels like a relief,” Angol said. “We have waited for it a long time, maybe too long, but to get it is a good feeling. The most important thing is to win again and keep winning.

“Sometimes playing upfront by yourself you can get lost, but on the other side you can have an impact and help the team a lot and I feel like I did that. I worked hard, the team worked hard and it was a good performance.

“Having a baby is motivating, so it’s not something that is going to put me off - if anything it’s going to make me want to do more.”

Angol is expecting a tough test on Saturday, but hopes his team can come out victorious.

“It will be another good physical battle,” Angol told Shrewsweb. “We are two teams relatively near each other in the table.

“Getting the win is obviously important to both of us, so it should be a good game.

“We waited a long time for this first win, so hopefully we can just keep getting wins after wins.”
