Fejiri Okenabirhie Pre Scunthorpe Untied

5 April 2019

Fejiri Okenabirhie previews Town's clash with Scunthorpe United.

Shrewsbury Town take on Scunthorpe United tomorrow afternoon in another Sky Bet League One clash.

Town will be looking to make it consecutive wins after earning all three points on the road against Southend United.

Fejiri Okenabirhie was pleased to have contributed to Town’s last win and hopes to see that form continued in the next fixture.

“It was a great win with a good performance,” said the forward. “It wasn’t the best of games as both teams are fighting for points.

“It probably wasn’t the best watch but to get the three points was the main thing at this stage of the season.

“It was a good result, definitely. Off the back of the Portsmouth result we were disappointed.

“But that performance gave us a good feeling going into the tie. We built on that and it helped us get the win.

“I just want to be out there helping the team. There is pressure because of where we are in the table but you have to just play your game.

“The first goal was very important in that game, so it was great to get it. We went on to win so that made it even better.

“Training has been positive and we can feel that we are playing well. We are taking that into games.

“We want to build on that and get some consistency going into the last few games.”

Fejiri is expecting a tough test from the Iron but feels his team have enough quality to win the game.

“We are going into the game wanting to win,” said the forward. “We want to build on what we did on Saturday.

“We are at home so we want to be on the front foot and want to be taking the game to them.

“We will be prepared for that and we will try our best to get the three points.

“The support has always been great this season, so we want to repay the fans for their support and give them something to cheer about.

“They might make changes due to having a caretaker manager and their players might have a reaction.

“We just have to focus on our own performance. It was the same situation against Southend.”
