Shrewsbury Town are delighted to announce that young defender Ryan Sears has committed his future to the club by signing a two-year extension which will see him at the club until the 20/21 season with the option of another year.
Sam Ricketts spoke to Shrewsweb and said how pleased he was to have offered Ryan a new deal.
"It's great news for everyone I think," Sam Said. "Ryan is a young player who I've liked since I've come in and he's really impressed me. I didn't know him before I came in.
"He's come on in really big games, big situations where he's had to see a game out or early on against Wolves and he's done really well.
"He also played on Friday against one of the best sides in the league and did really well so he's a young player with really good potential and we're delighted to say he's signed a new two year deal."
