Sam Ricketts previews Town's fixture with Barnsley.
Sam Ricketts and his team travel to Oakwell tomorrow afternoon to face off with Barnsley.
Town will be looking to make it three consecutive away wins after securing three points last time out against Gillingham.
Sam was pleased with his team last time out and hopes to see a continuation of their good form.
“It was a very, very good three points,” said Sam. “It was another very solid performance.
“There were some really good signs, similar to the Southend game. I think we are gradually controlling games much better.
“We had much more control and then eased our way through to win the game. We did more than enough to win the game.
“It doesn’t make any difference to me where we play – home or away. I expect us to win games and know we are capable of that.
“What has been pleasing is that the last couple of wins have been away from home.
“That dispels any ideas that we can’t win away from home. We have shown we can win at home and away.
“Our confidence comes from consistency of performance. That has come and with that the results have come.”
Sam is expecting a tough test from the home side but feels his team have enough to trouble the Tykes.
“We have watched their games and identified what their strengths are,” said Town’s manager.
“We will have a game plan together to give us the best chance of getting something.
“They are a good side, athletic and energetic with real quality in the team. Every player in their team is a threat really.
“They move the ball well and play good football. They consistently work and press.
“They are high energy and a good team to watch. There is something always going in their games.
“It will be a good game but a tough game. We have to remain compact and press as a team.
“We will need to work together otherwise we will get picked off by a team who are very settled.”
