Tuesday 30th April will see the end of season Supporter Awards Night. It’s a 6.30pm start with tickets on sale from the ticket office, Smithy’s Bar or through any of the supporter groups.
Tickets are just £3 each, which includes buffet food. Once again the event will be held in the Sovereign suite at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.
The Supporter’s Parliament are co-ordinating the evening, Ryan Jervis will compere the evening with Stuart Dunn conducting interviews with many of the players and staff.
The goal of the season award will be voted on during the evening.
The OSC, Super Blues and Away Travel club will also be presenting a number of awards.
The final award of the evening will be the Chris Smith memorial award. This was a new award presented last season, in honour of our great friend and supporter Chris Smith, who did so much for the club during his lifetime. Last year’s winner of this award was Ruth Williams, who was presented with the award by members of Chris’s family.
Joint chair of the Supporters Parliament Roger Groves said, “Following on from the successful event last year it’s pleasing for the Supporters Parliament to be asked again to coordinate the event on behalf of the supporters, particularly as this is a supporter event and not linked to the club’s black tie evening. “Brian Caldwell our CEO is happy to hand over the organising to us so it’s a great opportunity for us as fans to thank the players for all their efforts this season. “
Joint chair of the Supporters Parliament Chris Wynne said, “Last season’s event was our first chance to pick this up and carry on the great work Chris Smith did in previous years, the feedback we received last season was positive and I think Chris would have been proud of what we achieved.”
