It is with much regret that on behalf of the Supporters Parliament I have to announce that a planned reunion for the 1978/79 Third division Champions squad is going to have to be re-scheduled.
We had planned to hold the event on Saturday 17th August however due to a number of reasons which are outside of both ours, and the Football Clubs control, we are unable to meet that date.
The good news is that the event will be re-scheduled for later this year.
Many of you will see an advert regarding the event in today’s match programme, regrettably the decision to have to re-schedule the event was taken after the print deadline for the match programme.
I can confirm that discussions continue between the Supporters Parliament, the Football Club and the players who were part of the 78/79 squad to ensure we find the most suitable date available to hold the event on.
