Eisa Moves Onto Scunthorpe

15 August 2019

Abo Eisa has today joined Sky Bet League Two side Scunthorpe United on a permanent deal for an undisclosed fee.

Eisa joined Town in January 2018 after an impressive spell with Wealdstone saw Paul Hurst see enough to bring Eisa to Town.

He has gone to make ten appearances and score one goal for Town. He has impressed in performances but has never held down a regular starting place in the Town side.

Last season saw him spend the second half of the season out on loan at Colchester United where he impressed.

Town manager Sam Ricketts believes Eisa needs to get a regular run of games, but that isn't something he can guarantee at the moment.

"It's a deal which probably benefits all parties if I'm being honest", said Sam.

"I can't guarantee Abo regular game time here but he is a young player who has done well.

"He went out to Colchester last year and did really well while there.

"He's probably got that little bit of young player inconsistency about him at the moment where he can be very, very good for one game but then for the next couple, he won't quite hit those same levels.

"He needs constant game time to develop and ultimately it's a good deal for the club and a good offer from Scunthorpe."

The move now gives the Gaffer some more space to explore bringing in other options to bolster his squad.

"It does free up some space and allows us to explore options in the market and try and pick the right option for the club", said Sam.

Good luck to Abo in the next chapter of his career with Scunthorpe and thanks for all the hard work and dedication shown during his time at Town.
