Omar Beckles talks to us about playing against his former club Accrington, tomorrow evening and Town's recent performances.
"It's not bad, four points out of six, I don't see that working out bad on average. We would've loved to turn Saturday's game into a win. It's early doors and there are still more people that need to be added to the squad. The lads are still getting used to it and we had two debuts. I think we're getting there, slowly but surely but we're getting there." Omar said.
Omar has been part of Town's solid defensive unit and only conceding one goal in three league games with a win, a loss and a draw to the start of the season.
"We've recruited really well. We've got Ethan and Pierre, both really good players. I think we've done really well with the players that we've bought in. We've got good competition for places. I think the more we consistently get a run of games with each other; we get to build that connection and partnership and it only brings out the best of players."
Omar had his thoughts on his previous side. "They tend to start really well. Some teams tend to take them for granted. They don't look like the most athletic side. It's a tight pitch and they play good football. They find space and get in your faces. It's going be a tough game but I'm looking forward to it."
Town are going into Tuesday's game with a clean sheet from the weekend. "It's positive that we got the clean sheet and that's the second one so far. To be honest, we could've had three points with the MK Dons one. I think there's good signs that we're a solid unit. I think we build upon that foundation and be solid cause it's not an easy place to go as we saw last season. Just build on the foundation on being solid and see if we can go from there."
Omar looks to return to his former side Tuesday and hopes to come away with another three points.
