Ethan Ebanks-Landell Pre Coventry City

13 December 2019

Defender Ethan Ebanks-Landell previews Town's fixture as they host Coventry City on Saturday afternoon.

Ethan talks us through about how Town have had a full week of training this week with having no mid-week fixture. "It's been good, Monday was more of a relaxing one, I think the people who played went to do a bit of a cool down and Tuesday was a bit more training as normal."

With the Christmas period coming up and Town having so many games, it is good that the squad are able to get a decent, full weeks' worth of training. "It's good for the players and good for the coaching staff to get their points across for the weekend, but it's the Christmas period, so you're not going get that every week."

Last weekend we saw Town pick up a hard-earned clean sheet away at Oxford and another point on the board. This gives the lads confidence going into Saturday's game against another team that are currently pushing for promotion.

"It's always nice to get a clean sheet as a defender, we've had a few this season, obviously the back five as a team have defended very well, we just need to add a few more goals, and I'm sure we'll be on the right way."

Ethan gave his thoughts towards Saturday's opposition. "From playing against them last season, they're a very good team, they play very good football, and where they are in the league, you can see that. I think our next few games are against teams above us, so I feel like we've done well against those teams as well, it's just another challenge."

League One can be pretty tight at times, the points are always important, and a few wins can put Town into higher positions. "Definitely, it's all about getting on and run, but we haven't had two wins on a spin yet, but that's what we're aiming towards, and we'll just take it step by step."

Town are back at Montgomery Waters Meadow on Saturday. "It's always good being at home, our record is reasonably good at home as well. When we're fighting to keep a lead or fighting to get a lead, we always know the fans are there with us."
