FA review sees Dave Edwards ban remain
The FA have reviewed the decision to send Dave Edwards off during the second half of the game away to Bristol Rovers.
Their decision is ’At a meeting of a Regulatory Commission held today, the Members considered your claim of wrongful dismissal in relation to the above player.
From the evidence adduced, the Members ruled that it was not a case of wrongful dismissal. Therefore, your Claim has been unsuccessful. For the avoidance of doubt David Edwards’ three (3) match suspension remains in place. ‘
Dave will now miss the games against Burton Albion (H), Peterborough (A) and Doncaster (H) following the first straight red card of his career.
Town manager Sam Ricketts is disappointed with the FA’s decision.
“I’m very disappointed with the decision and Dave will be a big miss for the next three games”, said Sam.
“We are really looking forward to having him back available for selection after it.”
