New half-time options for the Salop Leisure and Assist Groups stands
Shrewsbury Town are pleased to announce that there will be two catering vans available on Saturday for fans to help ease congestion at half time in the concourse. One will be available behind the Salop Leisure Stand and one behind the Assist Group Stand.
Fans will be able to exit the ground at half time during Saturday’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Burton to access the catering vans.
Access to the Salop Leisure Stand one will be through the double doors below stand 11 and 12, and for the Assist Group Stand through the doors below 15 and 16.
Town CEO Brian Caldwell spoke to ShrewsWeb about the decision to trial the extra catering vans.
“Lawrence Ellerby our safety officer has worked really hard with MPM and between them they’ve come up with this idea about the potential of having catering vans outside of the stadium especially on the west stand to help relieve the pressure.”, said Brian.
“If there are a number of people in the stand who are put off buying food then we’ve got to cater for them as well.
“So we’re going to trial this solution over the next few Saturday games where somebody can go out of the stand and utilise the catering outside which will help reduce queues and make things more accessible for everybody.”
Both vans will be in operation ahead of the Burton match as well.
