James Bolton looks ahead to Town's trip to Bristol Rovers

Shrewsbury Town return to Sky Bet League One action this weekend with a trip to Bristol Rovers’ Memorial Stadium.

Town will be looking to secure all three points against the Pirates after putting in a good performance against Wolves.

James firstly reminisced about another entertaining cup tie against Wolves on Tuesday night.

“It was class. I remember speaking to a couple of the lads before the game about that light show, I said to Omar this is what it’s all about. It sounds mad but it felt like a Champions League game. It was a great occasion."

Bolton was impressed with the performance that his team displayed which challenged Wolves all the way until the final whistle.

“It just shows what we’ve got in the squad, if we’re on it then we can match anybody.”

Although Bolton was disappointed to be out of the competition he now sees this as a real opportunity to focus on the league.

“Yes, we can put all of our focus into the league, it’s massive now, we’ve got to pick up results quickly, you can’t leave it too late. We’ve got a good enough team and we need to start showing it.

Bolton is expecting a real challenge from Bristol Rovers who are also near the bottom of the table.

“It’s going to be tough, they’ve been in good form of late. I think if we show up and bring our best selves then we’re a good test for anybody.Hopefully we can get the win because we do need the points.

“Every game from now is massive, it doesn’t matter if they are top or bottom we’ve got to pick up points and we’ve got to keep ourselves from getting relegated because that’s what’s at stake.”
