Josh Laurent Pre Doncaster Rovers

Josh Laurent looks ahead to Town's Sky Bet League One Fixture against Doncaster Rovers

Shrewsbury Town welcome Doncaster Rovers to the Montgomery Waters Meadow tomorrow evening.

Town will be looking to make it back-to-back wins and 4 games unbeaten after a good performance away to Peterborough United.

Josh Laurent was delighted with his team's performance on Saturday. "It felt amazing to get the win," Josh told Shrewsweb. "It's been a while, especially away from home so there's been some pressure on us.

"It felt great to be out of the bottom four as well."

"Everyone was buzzing in the changing room. Even the boys that weren't able to play were really happy. But it only lasts for an hour or so because you have to focus on the game tomorrow."

Josh was voted man of the match for that game by the fans and was appreciative of their recognition for his performance.

"Yes it's always nice, fans will also let you know when you haven't played the best but they're great at letting you know when you have played well also.

"It's the best part of football when people recognise you are doing well or you've done something good, the fans are the first to let you know.

"It was great to be recognised but I think the whole team showed a lot of fight in that game and in recent weeks."

Josh mentioned a key factor that they need to bring into the game against Doncaster on Tuesday night.

"I think confidence is the biggest thing, we need to take confidence that we can play against any team in the league and get a result. Especially at home as well we have shown our good record overall.

"At times I've seen teams come here and settle for a draw because it's a tough place to come to.

"We played Doncaster away from home obviously earlier in the season and it was probably one of the toughest games we've had I think. They are a good side, they move the ball well but I think we dealt with them really well and gave them a good game and we went toe to toe with them.

"We need to take confidence from that game earlier in the season and from the game on Saturday that we can go out there and get three points.

"We need to keep this fight going that we've got from the last few games but also keep improving."

Laurent is keen to make sure Town keep up their unbeaten run tomorrow night.

"I think that's massive. Going unbeaten in this league is a huge thing. If you can pick up a run of just 5 or 6 games you can jump up the table rapidly and I think that's what we're looking to do.

"We want to keep being consistent and keep picking up results and we just take one game at a time and keep picking up wins as we have drawn a lot of games this season."
