Loan Update

4 February 2019

A look at how our players are getting on away from the club.

Abo Eisa got off to a dream start for Colchester United as he scored in his U’s debut against Northampton. Eisa’s goal in the 50th minute came after appearing as a second-half sub. It was the second goal of the game as the match finished 0-4. That win moves Colchester only a point off of the play-off spot in League Two.

Doug Loft went straight into the starting 11 for his Dagenham and Redbridge debut against Aldershot Town last Saturday. The game finished 1-1. Loft’s last game against Maidenhead was postponed due to heavy snow.

George Hughes played a full 90 minutes for Newtown as they lost 2-1 to Connah’s Quay.

John McAtee appeared as a substitute in the 61st minute as Curzon Ashton beat Hereford 2-1 away from home to make it 6 wins in a row.

AFC Telford’s game against Spennymoor Town was postponed due to poor weather meaning Ryan Barnett was unable to get any minutes under his belt.
