Luke Waterfall looks ahead to Town's next Sky Bet League One fixture against AFC Wimbledon

Shrewsbury Town are back at the Montgomery Waters Meadow this Saturday as they face AFC Wimbledon in Sky Bet League One.

Town will be looking to make it three wins in a row and five games unbeaten on Saturday.

Ever-present defender Luke Waterfall was delighted to have secured back-to-back wins and keep a clean sheet on Tuesday night.

"It was a much needed three points," Luke told Shrewsweb. "it was a very good performance especially in the first half, second half we rode our luck a couple of times but you need that luck sometimes to get the clean sheet and get the three points.

"Hopefully now that will be a springboard to get onto better things and get up the league.

"The Gaffer is big on clean sheets, we mention them in every meeting we have so it was very pleasing to get one against a very good Doncaster team.

"We know we're capable of scoring at least one or two goals in every game so if we can keep a clean sheet it massively improves the chances of us getting the win."

Luke is expecting another tough test against a Wimbledon side who sit bottom of Sky Bet League One.

"When you're playing teams that are down there in the table like we have been they tend to be scrappy games so I can imagine it will be a game like that where you need to win the second balls and put bodies on the line.

"Hopefully, try and get another clean sheet and then we'll be in a very good chance of getting three points."

"They've picked up form the last couple of weeks and had a good cup run as well so they'll have drawn confidence from that as well.

"Nobody's expecting an easy game, although they're bottom of the league I don't read too much into that, they'll be coming here and fighting for their lives and the three points."

"If we can play the football we did on Tuesday night and defend as well as we did second half we'll be fine."
