Luke Waterfall Pre Wolves

5 February 2019

Luke Waterfall previews Town's FA Cup replay clash against Wolves.

Shrewsbury Town travel to Molineux this evening to take on Wolves in an FA Cup replay fixture.

Town will be looking to cause an upset against the Premier League side as the pair battle it out for a spot in the next round.

Luke Waterfall is looking forward to the tie and feels the game is an opportunity to bounce back from Town’s last result.

“We need to be more solid as a team,” said the defender. “We need to stop conceding goals like we are doing.

“We had a clean sheet against Blackpool and a good performance against Wolves, so we need to play like that.

“We need to work hard as a team, work together as a team and do the basics well.

“It will be a completely different game going to their place. The surface will suit them a lot more.

“It should suit us more as well. Hopefully we can play our game plan a bit better.”

Luke is looking forward to the test and hopes his team can raise their game against the home side.

“It’s a nice stadium – I’m sure the boys will be buzzing,” said Luke. “The boys are looking forward to it.

“We want to go there and give a good account of ourselves and then focus on Saturday.

“It’s an FA Cup fourth-round tie. It’s a big game, big competition and a big occasion, so there will be a lot of interest in the game.

“The boys will be looking forward to it, albeit still disappointed from Saturday, but we need to go out there and put in a good performance.

“Wolves won’t be used to playing against a team such as us. On the day it’s a 90-minute game and anything can happen.

“We know there is always upsets in the FA Cup, so hopefully we will cause one.”
