Ticket Barcode Rejections Updates

Update on matchday ticket barcode rejections and reasons for rejection

Ticket Office manager Martin Gaunt brings a quick update on the continual improvement on matchday barcode rejections at the turnstiles.

The Burton Albion game saw a total of 48 Barcode Rejections at the turnstiles that weren’t duplicate scans or incorrect barcodes.

To break this down further, of these 48:-

28 Supporters went to the Wrong Entry Gate

7 Tickets were scanned having already been scanned at least once.

2 were Fancards who had Physical Tickets

2 were Fancards who had no purchase against the relevant Supporter Number

9 were using Last Years’ Season Ticket (or older!)

This shows an improved number from the previous game (Luton).

Supporters are actively encouraged to contact the ticket office if they had an issue entering the ground on Saturday as Fancard and Season Ticket barcodes can be checked to make sure that they are correct.

When purchasing a game on your Fancard the confirmation will show the seat and block you have booked should you forget after purchase.  When purchasing at the window the ticket staff will tell you the seat and block you have booked.

The stadium plan above highlights the correct turnstiles for each block at the Montgomery Waters Meadow.

The Ticket office can be contacted by calling 01743 273943 or by emailing tickets@shrewsburytown.co.uk
